What Started The War of 1812
Many things led up to the War of 1812 between Great Britain. Prior to the overt declaration of war between the United Stares and Great Britain, Great Britain and the French under Napolean were exchanging hostilities. The United States was caught in the middle of this struggle due to trade restrictions placed upon Great Britain by Napolean who made an effort to restrict British trade in Europe.
